With so many creative and inspired entries, it was a tough choice, but we're happy to announce the following winners of our Yearbook Cover Art Contest! The front cover of Springmont’s 2021-22 Yearbook was drawn by Satti Gray/Luiza Godoi and is pictured here. The back cover is by Juliet Martin, and our two inside signature pages are by Sriram Somasundaram and Amanda Revello/Hannah Garcia - view them on our Facebook post. Recently, Remzije’s Toddler Class released a bag full of ladybugs into their classroom garden, and students were fascinated by these tiny beetles! Did you know that in many cultures, ladybugs are considered good luck, that each ladybug can eat about 50 aphids a day, and that they live 2-3 years? Introducing children to nature encourages them to build an appreciation for the world around them and helps them understand their place within it.

Middle School students have been learning about street artists and their distinct styles, researching and drawing inspiration from the diverse artworks along Atlanta's Beltline. Students created miniature 3-D models of a fence or wall to host their own designs. Each model has a creative environment for the base, such as a city street, baseball field, or even the surface of Mars! Check out these unique pieces on display in the Media Center.
