CURRENT OPENINGS
Elementary Division Head
Springmont is seeking an AMI Elementary-trained Division Head for the 2024-25 school year. Compensation for this 12-month, full-time, salaried position is highly competitive, commensurate with experience and includes a benefits package that offers individual health, vision, dental, and disability insurance, paid time off, professional development, and retirement savings opportunities. Hours are 7:45-4:15 daily, plus attendance at school events that may occur outside school hours.
Division Heads support faculty and staff in serving the school’s mission and implementing programs related to the school’s growth plan. Springmont’s Elementary Division Head oversees 2 Lower Elementary and 2 Upper Elementary classrooms and the Specialists that support the Elementary children. Responsibilities include pedagogical consistency in the school’s Elementary program and development and support of the Elementary faculty and staff, as well as compliance with AMI and SAIS standards, goal-setting and improvement plans for Elementary faculty and staff, and the management of standardized testing. Partnerships with the Admission office and other Division Heads for the program’s continued success and providing educational guidance and support for enrolled families are vital components of the role.
Qualifications include an AMI Elementary diploma, at least 5 years of classroom experience in an AMI Elementary classroom, and a bachelor’s degree in education. Candidates should be committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, eager to provide warm and nurturing guidance and mentorship, and prepared to work collaboratively and efficiently to meet deadlines. Elementary Teacher

Human Resources Manager
Springmont seeks a full-time Human Resources Manager who will ensure the school’s employment and hiring practices are ethical and reflect current best practices within the industry. The Human Resources Manager will work closely with the Business Office on payroll and benefits administration and with the Head of School on employment practices and policies. The Human Resources Manager will also assist with employee relations and serve as a resource for all employees.
Primary responsibilities:
- Assist with employee relations including mediation and conflict resolution
- Advise the Head of School on employment and hiring policies and practices
- Update and maintain the Employee/Operations Handbook
- Help develop and update job descriptions for all roles
- Ensure legal compliance with all state and federal laws and requirements, including FMLA, FLSA, Workers’ Compensation, and BFTS-Decal
- Maintain employee records and certifications, including BFTS certifications and background and MVR checks for employees and parent volunteers
- Maintain records for years of service/degrees for faculty and staff
- Manage payroll and leave records
- Assist the Business Operations Manager and Head of School with annual employee contracts
- Assist Business Manager with benefits administration
- Post job listings, screen candidates, and check references for new hires
- Plan and conduct onboarding training for new employees
- Conduct employee training on HR-related topics
- Other tasks as assigned by the Head of School or his/her designee
Qualifications and Personal Attributes:
- 3 years’ experience in human resources
- School experience and/or a bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and high ethical standards
- Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills
- Embraces the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives and is committed to fostering an equitable and inclusive work and learning environment
- Excellent computer, database, and organizational skills

Classroom Substitutes
Springmont is currently accepting resumes for Classroom Substitutes to work with children in our Toddler (18 months – 3 years), Primary (3 - 6 years), Elementary (6 - 12 years) and Middle School (12 - 14 years) classes. Prior experience working with children of various ages is essential and a working knowledge of Montessori education is preferred. Flexibility is a must.
