Toddler & Primary Teacher's Assistants
Springmont is seeking a Teacher’s Assistants for our Toddler & Primary classrooms.  These are full-time positions with compensation commensurate with experience, beginning at $16 hourly, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision and dental insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings opportunities.
Assistants support the Teacher’s work in the classroom and assist children with lunch, napping, toileting, and outdoor play.  Assistants collaborate with Teachers to create a nurturing and caring Montessori classroom community where freedom of choice, routines and clear expectations allow young children to flourish.
The ideal candidate is warm, reliable, organized and flexible and possesses good written and verbal communication skills and facility with technology. Experience with young children is preferred. School Counselor
Springmont is seeking an experienced, full-time School Counselor for the 2021-22 school year to work with teachers and families to support their students and children by bringing expertise and experience in children’s psychological development and mental health.
Springmont believes that academics must be balanced with strong social/emotional learning and that diversity and inclusivity are essential parts of the student experience, toddler through middle school. The School Counselor would further strengthen our efforts by observing and working with students individually and in small groups and coaching entire classes.  Needs may include friendship and social skill development, helping students make behavioral changes or to develop calming or anxiety-reducing techniques, and supporting executive function and social thinking. The School Counselor also provides support and resources for staff and families via workshops and critical conversation meetings with teachers and parents.
Candidates should be a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or possess a master’s degree in a related field (clinical designation preferred).  Candidates should also be comfortable working with children PK-8th grade and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with floortime/play therapy, OT/sensory integration, and Montessori curriculum/philosophy/pedagogy is preferred.

Classroom Substitutes
Springmont is currently accepting resumes for Classroom Substitutes to work with children in our Toddler (18 months – 3 years), Primary (3 - 6 years), Elementary (6 - 12 years) and Middle School (12 - 14 years) classes.  Prior experience working with children of various ages is essential and a working knowledge of Montessori education is preferred.  Flexibility is a must.
