Toddler/Primary Division Head

Springmont is seeking an AMI-trained Toddler/Primary Division Head for the 2026-27 school year, with an option to start sooner if possible. Founded in 1963, Springmont School is the oldest Montessori school in the southeast and one of the most highly regarded. Compensation for this 12-month, full-time, salaried position is highly competitive, commensurate with experience and includes a benefits package that offers health, vision, dental insurance, paid time off, professional development, and retirement savings opportunities. Hours are 7:45 am-4:15 pm daily (7:45 am-5:00 pm Wednesdays), plus attendance at school events that may occur outside school hours.  

Division Heads support faculty and staff in serving the school's mission and implementing programs related to the school's growth plan. Springmont's Toddler/Primary Division Head oversees 3 Toddler and 4 Primary classrooms. Responsibilities include pedagogical consistency in the school's Toddler and Primary programs and development and support of its faculty and staff, as well as compliance with AMI and SAIS standards, goal setting, and improvement plans for its faculty. Partnerships with the Admission office, other Division Heads, and the Lead Assistant are essential components of this role, as is providing educational guidance and support for enrolled families.  

Qualifications include an AMI Toddler or Primary diploma, at least 5 years of classroom experience in AMI classrooms (preferably in both Toddler and Primary), and a bachelor's or master's degree in education. Candidates should be committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, eager to provide warm and nurturing guidance and mentorship, and prepared to work collaboratively and efficiently to meet deadlines. They should possess a keen sensitivity to current events, strong interpersonal and effective verbal and written skills, a growth mindset, and a deep sense of mission and purpose aligned with Springmont's culture and core values.

Elementary Teacher

Springmont School is currently accepting resumes from AMI-certified Elementary teachers interested in joining our thriving Montessori community for the 2026-27 school year.  

Serving 260 students 18 months through 8th grade, Springmont is AMI recognized and has provided an exceptional Montessori experience since 1963. Our mission is to provide a learning environment where diversity of thought and a global perspective empower students to be inquisitive, knowledgeable, independent, compassionate, and effective. In addition to our beautiful 7-acre main campus that includes a small farm, students benefit from our 86-acre Landschool in the northwest Georgia mountains as well as distinctive outdoor science education and fine arts programs.

Classroom Substitutes

Springmont is currently accepting resumes for Classroom Substitutes to work with children in our Toddler (18 months – 3 years), Primary (3 - 6 years), Elementary (6 - 12 years) and Middle School (12 - 14 years) classes.  Prior experience working with children of various ages is essential and a working knowledge of Montessori education is preferred.  Flexibility is a must.
