Dear Families,
Welcome to the 2024-25 school year at Springmont! We have been eagerly awaiting the start of school. It may be hard to believe, but we start planning for the year ahead as soon as the previous year ends! Over the summer, teachers and administrators participated in professional workshops, gathered to plan curriculum and events, and reviewed schedules and plans for our myriad of school activities. And that was all before our New Employee Orientation on Aug 1 and 2 and Pre-Planning for all employees last week. This time is invaluable for reviewing policies and procedures, engaging in professional trainings from CPR to Transparent Classroom, and reconnecting with each other. And of course, we work on our prepared environments! Classrooms have been scrubbed, new materials are on the shelves, and schedules are laminated. Soon we’ll have the last and most important ingredient – your wonderful children!
Whether it’s your first year at Springmont or your 10th – welcome! I look forward to seeing many of you at parent orientations this week and all of you at our Opening Night on August 22nd.
