Thank you to everyone who has already completed the Toddler/Primary Parent Education Survey. The 8:45-9:30 time frame is the overwhelming favorite so far! The survey will remain open through Friday at 3 pm, so it's not too late to share your preferred time! (Click the link in Springmont Weekly News)

We’re excited to schedule our first Toddler/Primary Parent Education of the school year and hope you can join us! Please know that all parents/caregivers are welcome, including those at the Elementary & Middle School levels!

You’ve probably heard that developing independence is a foundational component of Montessori Toddler and Primary learning, but what exactly does that mean, and how can families encourage and reinforce independence at home?

Please join Toddler/Primary Division Head Anne Ledoux for a discussion about independence in Montessori Toddler & Primary classrooms and what parents/caregivers can do to foster independence at home.

Due to limited on-campus parking, we kindly ask each family to bring only one vehicle to campus

In Springmont’s Elementary program, you won’t see rows of desks or teachers standing at the front of the room lecturing the whole class. Instead, teachers give lessons to small groups, and students complete follow-up work with classmates, often in pairs or small groups. Students see teachers as mentors, rather than authority figures, and they view classmates as team members, rather than competitors. On Friday, Toddler/Primary Division Head Anne Ledoux shared ideas about how parents can encourage their children to develop independence, a hallmark of Montessori education.
