All parents/guardians are invited to our Schoolwide Parent Education, From Scribbles to Self-Expression: The Journey of Writing in Montessori Education, on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, 4:30–6:00 p.m.

Have you ever wondered how Springmont addresses writing and written expression? Join us to learn how Springmont's teachers address and teach writing and prewriting skills at every level, including in our Toddler program. You'll see samples of student work and the amazing materials used for writing instruction at each level, from Toddler through Middle School. You'll hear from faculty members from each level about the elements of writing on which Montessori teachers focus, how they build handwriting skills, and how students are guided to use writing to express thoughts and ideas. 

• Complimentary childcare is available 4:30–6:00 p.m. for currently enrolled students via the RSVP form. (All Day students do not need to be pre-registered.) 
  o    Unfortunately, non-enrolled siblings cannot be accommodated.
  o    Students should be picked up at their usual dismissal times and return to campus at 4:25 p.m.  Alternatively, Elementary & Middle School students may be registered for Extended Day by clicking here.
• Due to our very limited on-campus parking, it's essential that each family bring just one vehicle to campus.
