Save the Date: Our Springmont commUNITY Dinner is Saturday, Feb. 4!

Thank you to everyone who submitted the survey and/or attended the sessions about re-imagining International Night. Your valuable feedback has guided us to rethink several aspects of the event to be more inclusive and meaningful. We are excited to invite all families to attend the Springmont commUNITY Dinner on Saturday, February 4, beginning at 4:30 p.m.! It will be held off campus at the Peachtree Road United Methodist Church and feature student performances and a potluck-style buffet dinner. As the date approaches, more details and instructions for preparing your family’s dish to share will be provided.

Volunteers needed! If you can help with set-up (3:00 - 4:30 p.m.) or clean-up (6:30 - 7:00 p.m.), please look for a link to sign up in next week’s newsletter.

It wouldn’t be spring at Springmont unless Elementary classrooms were home to baby chicks! Ellen’s Upper Elementary students, pictured here, are experts at ensuring these little ones have the food, water, and warmth they need. Students also make sure our flock is accustomed to human touch, helping them become friendly, intelligent, and sociable. In addition to learning how living things grow and change, students practice responsibility, patience, and empathy and gain a deeper appreciation for the world around them. Extraordinary!

Thank you to everyone who helped make Denim & Diamonds, Springmont’s 60th Anniversary Auction, a resounding success! Celebrating this milestone and raising funds for the many things that make Springmont so extraordinary was possible due to the efforts and generosity of our volunteers, teachers and staff, sponsors, and attendees, including alumni families and special guests, Joe Seidel and Lilian Bryan.
