Our annual spring fundraiser is the last of our community events to return following COVID. While fundraising has remained a priority at Springmont, health and safety protocols and economic uncertainty led us to take a more conservative and passive approach during the past three years. Fundraising is a critical component of our ability to grow our program and facilities; however, we have been balancing that priority with the need to reinvigorate our strong sense of community. In the absence of the annual spring fundraiser, the Springmont Parent Association is exploring the possibility of offering a selection of smaller community gatherings, Parties with a Purpose, this spring and summer. These would continue to build community in fun and engaging ways while raising money to support Springmont. Parties with a Purpose are intended to be welcoming and inclusive events, consistent with Springmont’s Core Values. Springmont parent Wendy Sandvi is spearheading this initiative.
