All parents are strongly encouraged to attend this on-campus, adult-only, official kick-off of the new school year on Thursday, August 27, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. You can expect great company, good food and a glass of wine, a short program in the Pavilion, and time in classrooms with your child's Teachers, who will share important information.

ALL PARKING IS OFF CAMPUS at Century Springs East (6100 Lake Forrest Dr, Atlanta, GA, 30328) On-campus parking is NOT available.

Shuttles will run 5:45 - 6:30 and 8:30 - 8:45.

It’s still Orientation Week, but students are already having lessons with our amazing teachers! Younger children receive lessons individually or in very small groups, while older students’ lessons typically include more classmates. This is because individual lessons let teachers address each child’s unique readiness and allow students the direct, one-on-one contact with the Montessori materials that help them learn best. Older students prefer small-group lessons that match their growing social development, spark collaboration and teamwork, and foster student-led inquiry and follow-up learning. One unique aspect of Springmont’s Middle School student experience is belonging to a tight-knit community of engaged and collaborative learners. To this end, the entire Middle School spends 4 days and 3 nights at our North Georgia campus at the beginning of each school year. In addition to core content lessons with teachers, students participate in outdoor team-building activities, visit local parks for fun and learning, and help cook and prepare their own meals. This extended, immersive group experience sets the stage for success, both academic and social/emotional. Extraordinary! #montessorimiddleschool #middleschool
