Middle School Outplacement Meeting - Sept 23

All parents/guardians are invited to our Middle School Outplacement Meeting on Wednesday, September 23, from 4:30-6:00 p.m. in the Middle School Liberal Arts classroom. Regardless of your child’s current age, we know it can be helpful and reassuring to look ahead and get a sense of our process, hear about our results, and see what lies ahead.

We take a whole-team approach to 9th-grade outplacement, including mock interviews, essay-writing support, reminders to help meet all recommendation and testing deadlines, and individualized guidance sessions for families.

Light snacks and water will be offered.
Middle School students are invited to attend with their parents/guardians. They should be picked up at their regular dismissal time and return with parents/guardians at 4:30 OR enrolled in Extended Day.
Unfortunately, we will NOT be providing complimentary childcare for students at other levels. However, Elementary students may be enrolled in Extended Day.
Due to limited on-campus parking, we kindly request that each family bring only one vehicle to campus.

In Springmont’s Elementary program, you won’t see rows of desks or teachers standing at the front of the room lecturing the whole class. Instead, teachers give lessons to small groups, and students complete follow-up work with classmates, often in pairs or small groups. Students see teachers as mentors, rather than authority figures, and they view classmates as team members, rather than competitors. On Friday, Toddler/Primary Division Head Anne Ledoux shared ideas about how parents can encourage their children to develop independence, a hallmark of Montessori education. Anne reminded us to prepare the environment and, even more importantly, ourselves, stepping back and giving children the time and space to master challenges independently. #Montessori #montessoriindependence #independence #independenttoddler #independentchildren
