Early Morning Care & Extended Day Begin Aug 17

Primary: Primary Half Day and Primary School Day students may be enrolled in before-school care (Early Morning Care) in the Media Center 7:30-8:15 a.m. for $12/day. (Before-school care for All Day Primary students is included in All Day tuition and provided in the student's classroom.) Click here for information and registration for Early Morning Care

Elementary & Middle School: Springmont offers Elementary & Middle School students before-school care (Early Morning Care) in the Media Center 7:30-8:15 a.m., and after-school care (Extended Day) 3:00/3:15-6:00 p.m. Parents may register their child (by 6 a.m. daily) as needed for Early Care ($12/day) and/or Extended Day ($18/hour billed in 15-minute increments). Families are billed monthly for the time used. Fall Semester Early Care and Extended Day Registration is now open and is also offered via a link in Springmont Weekly News throughout the school year.

It’s still Orientation Week, but students are already having lessons with our amazing teachers! Younger children receive lessons individually or in very small groups, while older students’ lessons typically include more classmates. This is because individual lessons let teachers address each child’s unique readiness and allow students the direct, one-on-one contact with the Montessori materials that help them learn best. Older students prefer small-group lessons that match their growing social development, spark collaboration and teamwork, and foster student-led inquiry and follow-up learning. One unique aspect of Springmont’s Middle School student experience is belonging to a tight-knit community of engaged and collaborative learners. To this end, the entire Middle School spends 4 days and 3 nights at our North Georgia campus at the beginning of each school year. In addition to core content lessons with teachers, students participate in outdoor team-building activities, visit local parks for fun and learning, and help cook and prepare their own meals. This extended, immersive group experience sets the stage for success, both academic and social/emotional. Extraordinary! #montessorimiddleschool #middleschool
