DEI Parent Workshop: Raising Anti-Racist Children

All parents are invited to attend Raising Anti-Racist Children on Thursday, March 11, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Led by iChange Collaborative facilitators Dr. Danielle Stewart and Martha Caldwell, this discussion forum will explore strategies for raising anti-racist children of all ages. We will discuss how parents can cultivate understanding about differences, strengthen compassionate identities, and work together to build an identity-safe community for all of our children. It’s the final one for this school year and students will soon be dropping off their Spring Semester proceeds to organizations of their choice. It finally feels like spring, and Primary students are busy in classroom gardens! In addition to engaging young children’s innate sense of curiosity, wonder, and joy, gardening helps children develop an appreciation for the natural world and builds the foundation for environmental stewardship, mindsets essential to taking care of our planet!
