Please join School Counselors Ann & Katie for a very special Coffee with the Counselors on Wednesday, October 7th, beginning at 8:45 am, when guest Andrew Wallace, LCSW, will offer an experiential and informative session on parenting with Theraplay.

Theraplay promotes strong attachments and increases resilience in children, strengthening them to meet life's day-to-day challenges. Andrew will focus on building children’s executive function skills through parental play and healthy attachments. His presentation,"Play to Empower Executive Functioning," provides research-based information along with some opportunities to play and practice games we can use at home.

Are you ready to shop the Elementary Markets at this Saturday’s Springmont Festival & Montessori Mile? The Willow Lower Elementary Class has started baking the banana bread they will offer at their table! Beyond having fun and creating a delicious product, students are learning about volume, weight, and fractions, as well as sequencing and how to follow written directions. They’re building practical life and fine motor skills, practicing teamwork and patience, and enjoying the good feeling of contributing to their class community. #fallfestival #bakesale #lowerelementary

Today was our first Upper Elementary Book Club lunch of the school year! Guided by Media Center Specialist Leslie Wachter, students enjoyed an indoor picnic while discussing "Esperanza Rising", the book they read for National Hispanic Heritage Month. Springmont’s book club allows students to engage with literature by choice rather than obligation and promotes critical thinking and communication. Thanks, Leslie, for offering this opportunity and for helping students develop a genuine love of reading! #montessoribookclub #bookclub #studentbookclub #esperanzarising
