BRAVO for the Upper Elementary Musicals!

Guided by Music Teacher Carissa Gibson, Upper Elementary students worked hard for many months to create this spring's Upper Elementary Musicals! Each class produced a version of Roald Dahl's Matilde The Musical JR!, both of which were shared with families on Sunday, May 9, as a special Mother's Day treat. Special thanks to Kelcy Gatson and Claire Tadeo for filming and technical support and to the Upper Elementary Teachers for their help and patience!

It wouldn’t be spring at Springmont unless Elementary classrooms were home to baby chicks! Ellen’s Upper Elementary students, pictured here, are experts at ensuring these little ones have the food, water, and warmth they need. Students also make sure our flock is accustomed to human touch, helping them become friendly, intelligent, and sociable. In addition to learning how living things grow and change, students practice responsibility, patience, and empathy and gain a deeper appreciation for the world around them. Extraordinary!
