Book Fair Success

Once again, our Book Fair was a huge success due to the efforts of our volunteers and all the students and families who made purchases from the vast selection of books. Excitement abounded as new titles were discovered, and learning moments never ceased as students carefully selected their books while staying within their budgets. Parents had fun "secret shopping" for the holidays, and Teachers appreciated the books purchased to enhance their classroom libraries.

A very special thanks to all of the hard-working volunteers who offered their time and energy! Thank you Jennifer Blake, Dana McMeekin, Kaitlyn Bergeron, Maggie Ilkowska, Elisabeth Remy-Johnson, Johanna Lamps, Shama Shah, Allison Meisinger, Nissa Kara, Mary Hunter Maxwell, Jennifer Waldman, Tonia Marino, Ann Colonna and Megan Peters. We couldn't have done it without you!

It wouldn’t be spring at Springmont unless Elementary classrooms were home to baby chicks! Ellen’s Upper Elementary students, pictured here, are experts at ensuring these little ones have the food, water, and warmth they need. Students also make sure our flock is accustomed to human touch, helping them become friendly, intelligent, and sociable. In addition to learning how living things grow and change, students practice responsibility, patience, and empathy and gain a deeper appreciation for the world around them. Extraordinary!

Thank you to everyone who helped make Denim & Diamonds, Springmont’s 60th Anniversary Auction, a resounding success! Celebrating this milestone and raising funds for the many things that make Springmont so extraordinary was possible due to the efforts and generosity of our volunteers, teachers and staff, sponsors, and attendees, including alumni families and special guests, Joe Seidel and Lilian Bryan.
