Dear Families,

The end of our 60th school year is almost upon us. Before we ride off into the summer sunset, I want to thank all of you for entrusting your child(ren) to us. We have enjoyed seeing them make discoveries, establish new friendships, take risks, and grow. Your children inspire and enlighten us. “In the child is much knowledge, much wisdom. If we do not profit from it, it is only because of neglect on our part to become humble and to see the wonder of this soul and learn what the child can teach.” — Maria Montessori

I also want to thank our faculty and staff who support our students throughout the year. We saw a fabulous example of their teamwork and spirit at last Friday’s Fun Day. Everyone pitched in to make it a great day under Tiffany’s inspired leadership.  I’m sorry that parent volunteers couldn’t take part because of the weather, but our Middle Schoolers did a great job supporting and cheering on our Toddler and Primary children. 

All families are invited to attend our graduation ceremony this Thursday at 6:30 pm in the Pavilion. Each graduate gives a speech, and it is through their words, poise, and confidence that one sees the fruition of the Springmont journey.

I will write again in June with the results of our parent survey (which has been reopened through Friday), hiring updates, and news of summer campus projects made possible in part because of your generous Springmont Fund (it’s never too late to give!) and Auction participation (the photo is from the live auction item, Hiking with the Head). 

For those who are leaving us, we hope you’ll stay in touch - you will always have a place at Springmont. We look forward to seeing some of you at camp and the rest of you in August. We wish all of you a wonderful summer!
