The Springmont Festival & Montessori Mile is a beloved event, bringing students, staff, parents, grandparents, and alumni together on campus!

The graphic was created by Upper Elementary student Clementina Pascavage and selected as the winner of the 2026 Montessori Mile T-shirt Contest! Congrats, Clementina! Her design will be printed on the front of the t-shirts!

Whether you’re lacing up your running shoes or cheering from the sidelines, we hope you’ll join us on for this fun-filled Springmont tradition on Saturday, October 17!  Race Registration continues through Sunday, October 12, at midnight. Click here to register! 

Schedule
The morning begins with a warm-up in the Pavilion at 8:30 a.m., followed by the one-mile fun runs on Long Island Drive for adults and children ages 6–14. Our youngest runners, ages 6 and under, will have their own dashes on the Field. And the fun doesn’t stop when the races end!  Here are some of the planned activities!

• Middle School Fair & Pumpkin Decorating Contest
• Enrichment Vendor Activities & Demonstrations
• Sycamore Class Market - Pumpkin Bread, Fig Preserves, and Jewelry
• Juniper Class Market - Sourdough Bread and Goat Cheese
• Barn Tours
• Alumni Brunch
• Talent Show & Karaoke with Springmont Parent Emcees/DJs Brian Burns and Brian Knott - Calling all musicians, dancers, and performers! We’re looking for Springmont community members to sign up for a performance slot! Whether you sing, play an instrument, dance, juggle, tell jokes, or have another talent to share, we’d love to see what you’ve got! And if sharing a talent isn’t quite your speed, there will also be time for karaoke—so pick your favorite song and come ready to join the fun. Ready to take the stage? • Chili Cook-Off - Do you have a great chili recipe? Enter Springmont’s 14th annual Chili Cook-Off for a chance to prove your recipe is Golden Ladle-worthy. You could win a fabulous prize basket! Chili of all varieties—black bean, red bean, spicy, mild, chicken, beef, vegetarian, and others are welcome. Email Tiffany Orem at torem@springmont.com to enter! 

ALL parking is off campus at the Century Springs East lot at 6100 Lake Forrest Drive!

• Shuttles run to and from campus and the Century Springs East lot at 6100 Lake Forrest Drive NW, Sandy Springs, 30328.
  •  7:15-8:25 a.m. – The shuttle will run every 15 minutes.  Arrive early (by 8 am) to ensure your family is on campus to get your bib and warm up! The last shuttles may not arrive in time for these activities and the adult race.
  • 9:15 am - 12 noon - the LAST shuttle departs campus at 12 noon!
• On-street parking on Long Island Drive is NOT permitted.
• Out of respect for our neighbors, please do NOT park on side streets, including Mitchell Rd., or in neighborhoods. 

Volunteer Opportunities
We need YOUR help to make this event happen! Whether you’re interested in set-up, race logistics, hospitality, or general support, we welcome you to join us! If you have volunteered before, we would love to have you back! Your familiarity with the event makes you an invaluable part of our team. Of course, we warmly welcome ALL volunteers, regardless of event experience!
