Meet Joao Paulo (J.P.) Godoi

Hometown: J.P. was born in Sao Paulo City, Brazil, and lived in the region for most of his life. 

J.P. earned his bachelor's in Business and Accounting followed by an M.B.A. from the University of Sao Paulo. He has worked in Finance since graduation and loves driving data business decisions. 

As J.P. and his family prepared to move to the U.S., an American friend told them about Montessori, suggesting it would be a good fit. They found a small Montessori school in Richmond, VA, and fell in love with the method because it helped them educate their children not only academically but also as responsible and respectful citizens. J.P. and his family enrolled their children at Springmont in 2019.

J.P. loves sports and follows his favorite Brazilian soccer team and F1 Grand Prix. During the pandemic, his family adopted two rescue cats, Sakura and Luna.  

Fun Fact: Similar to most Brazilian boys, my dream was to become a professional soccer player. He played in several non-professional leagues until his late 20's.
