Yearbook Cover Art Contest

Families, please encourage your young artists to submit their visions of a 60’s cover for the yearbook. The theme is in honor of our 60th anniversary - Springmont was born in the 60s! Encourage them to create some groovy artwork! Art Teacher Claire Tadeo is available to meet with anyone needing some creative assistance. Submissions are due by Wednesday, October 18.

Today, a small group of students from Marianna’s Upper Elementary class was delighted to be joined by Springmont grandparent Doris Zablah, who helped them make homemade tortillas from Honduras! In addition to learning new Spanish vocabulary, students learned about the ingredients, preparation, and cooking of this special meal. Immersive experiences like this one inspire authentic learning and global awareness. Thank you, Doris, Anabel, and Lawrence!
