Supporting Student Philanthropy via Books for Africa

The Springmont community is invited to join Livia & Selena’s Lower Elementary class for a Book Drive supporting Books for Africa (BFA). BFA is the world’s largest shipper of donated educational materials to the African continent, having shipped over 61 million books to schools and libraries since 1988. You can help by donating gently used or new selections, including children’s picture books, chapter books, adult non-fiction, and textbooks published within the last 15 years. (BFA does not accept cookbooks, encyclopedias, self-help books, or magazines.)
Each Elementary classroom has a box to collect donations, and books may also be brought to the Front Office. Books will be accepted through Friday, February 20, so there’s plenty of time to sort through those boxes and bookshelves! Thank you for supporting this student-sponsored initiative!
