Springmont Festival & Montessori Mile - THIS SATURDAY, October 18!

The 30th Springmont Festival & Montessori Mile will be held THIS Saturday, October 18th! Even if you aren’t a runner, all families are invited to join us on campus for the fun!

ALL parking is off campus! 

  • Shuttles run to and from campus and the Century Springs East lot at 6100 Lake Forrest Drive
    • 7:15-8:25 a.m.
    • 9:15 am - 12 noon
  • On-street parking on Long Island Drive is NOT permitted.
  • Out of respect for our neighbors, please do NOT park on side streets, including Mitchell Rd., or in neighborhoods. 

Day of Race Registration will be available in the Pavilion - $30 per person includes a long-sleeved commemorative t-shirt.

Schedule
7:15-8:25 a.m. - Shuttles running
8:30 a.m. - Warm-Up in the Pavilion
8:45 a.m. - Adult Mile on Long Island Dr. (15 yrs. and over)
9:00 a.m. - Children’s Mile on Long Island Dr. (6-14 yr. olds;  6-yr. olds may do the Children's Mile, Dash, or both)
9:15 a.m. - Dashes (3-6 yr. olds; 6-yr. olds may do the Dash, Children's Mile, or both) and Toddler Trot (2 and under) on the Field
9:30 a.m. - Other activities (listed below)
9:15-12 noon - Shuttles running

Chili Cook-Off
Do you have a great chili recipe? Enter Springmont’s 13th annual Chili Cook-Off for a chance to prove your recipe is Golden Ladle-worthy. You could win a fabulous prize basket! Chili of all varieties—black bean, red bean, spicy, mild, chicken, beef, vegetarian, and others are welcome. Email Tiffany Orem at torem@springmont.com to enter! 

Ordo, Springmont's optional Tuesday-Friday lunch delivery service, will be offering FREE samples of typical lunch items, including chicken tenders, cheese quesadillas, Italian meatballs, and chicken fried rice. Have your child try these kid-friendly, reasonably priced items, delivered daily, hot and fresh!  Ordering is done weekly (by Friday night for the following Tuesday-Friday) via an online portal.

  • Class Markets - CASH ONLY, please!
    • Livia’s Class Pesto - homemade, organic, and nut-free!
    • Nathalie’s Class - homemade jam, pickles, and baked goods
    • Thomson’s Class - “Fermentation Market” including sourdough bread, yogurt, kimchi, and hopefully hot sauce and kombucha

  • Talent Show
