Primary Parent Education: The Sensorial Area: The Keys to Unlocking the Universe

Primary parents/guardians are invited to join Primary Teachers Chelsea Aubrey and Rebecca Giddens on Wednesday, September 10, 4:30-6:00 p.m. to discover how Montessori’s specially designed sensorial materials help children prepare for future academic work in math and language! Did you know that the visual, tactile, auditory, and olfactory experiences found in the Sensorial area can help children develop logical thinking, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and fine motor skills? Come see how the Pink Tower, Brown Stair, and Color Tablets enable children to build the sorting and categorizing skills that lay the foundation for abstract concepts. Discover how many of these amazing sensorial materials allow children to identify and correct their own mistakes, promoting independence and self-directed learning!
Complimentary childcare is available 4:30-6:00 p.m. for currently enrolled Half Day & School Day Primary students via the RSVP form. (All Day Primary students do not need to be pre-registered.)
- Elementary & Middle School students may be registered for our fee-based Extended Day program.
- Unfortunately, Toddlers and non-enrolled siblings cannot be accommodated.
Due to limited on-campus parking, we kindly request that each family bring only one vehicle to campus.
Kindly click the link in Springmont Weekly News to RSVP and reserve Primary childcare by 3 p.m. on Monday, September 8.
