Confidant, Coach, Friend, Hero....Teacher

October 21, 2019
By Lauren Stevenson

There are lots of words to describe the devoted faculty at Springmont, but perhaps none that do justice to the love, guidance and inspiration they provide our students every day. This year the Springmont Fund honors these individuals. When you make a gift or pledge, you offer your support for the development and enrichment of our teaching staff.

Gifts can be made via check, cash or credit card, and pledges are payable by July 31, 2020.  If you make a gift through your employer’s charitable giving program, please alert Lauren Stevenson in the Development Office. Many times these gifts take weeks or months to come through to the school, and in the meantime, we want to make sure to count your gift towards our financial and participation goals.

Thank you to all who have already made their commitment!

Springmont Fund & Popsicle Plans

October 15, 2019
By Lauren Stevenson

The Springmont Fund campaign is underway! To date, 28% of the school has participated, contributing $75,560. THANK YOU to all who have already made pledges and gifts!
As you know, this year's Springmont Fund dollars are extra special as these funds will be invested in the people who invest in our students. Contributions to this year’s fund will be used to increase the professional development budget for our faculty and invested in establishing a Teacher Workroom.

Tomorrow, courtesy of the Springmont Fund, all Lower Elementary students will enjoy Popsicles with Jon after their musical rehearsal. Deven, the lucky winner of the Children's Raffle at the Springmont Fund Kickoff Party, and his Teacher Chris decided they wanted to share this sweet treat with their whole level! The importance of generosity and thinking of others are two of the special lessons Springmont Teachers share with your children every day!

The teaching staff at Springmont is the heart of our school. They give so much of themselves for the benefit of our students. Show them some love in return!  Make your gift or pledge today and take the time to enter your favorite teacher’s name in the “In Honor of” space on the donation page.

Alumni Spotlight: Meet Ryan Polk

October 15, 2019
By Julie Strickland

Ryan graduated from Springmont's Middle School in 2014 and moved to Texas, attending St. Michael’s Catholic Academy for high school.  He is currently a sophomore at Texas A&M University where he is a member of the Corps of Cadets.

Ryan shares, “My time at Springmont has been more than valuable to me. My favorite memories and lessons are still there, like learning karate afterschool in Sam's karate class [and] communication and idea-sharing [for] my 6th-grade project. I even learned to take life for the beauty it is through the relationships I made with my teachers and classmates and memories that are too many to count.”
