Today is National Retro Day, and what could be more retro than a bead curtain?!? Parent volunteers from Jeanie’s Primary Class helped the children string beads to create a colorful bead curtain as their Auction art project! Inspired by the golden beads and the bead chains used in the math area of Primary and Elementary classrooms, this project requires fine-motor skills and the ability to follow a pattern. Thank you, parents; we can’t wait to see the finished project! #nationalretroday #beads #montessorimath

Over the last few weeks, Chelsea’s Primary class has had a steady stream of wonderful parent volunteers visiting to help with their Auction art project. After using pastels to create scenes on black paper, these young artists are pin-punching shapes to create a collaborative star-and-moon collage.
