Elementary Parent Education: The Power of a Great Story!

Elementary parents/guardians are encouraged to join Lower Elementary Teacher Livia Osorio and Upper Elementary Teacher Thomson Chuites on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. for a peek at this fascinating part of our curriculum. (There will also be time to socialize with fellow parents.) While the Coming of Life lesson pictured here is often given outdoors due to the very long black strip representing the history of life on earth, our presentation will be indoors! We’ll start in Livia’s Lower Elementary classroom and transition to Thomson’s Upper Elementary classroom.
Elementary children possess a powerful imagination that fuels their curiosity and intellectual independence. They are eager to think for themselves and exhibit a strong desire to undertake significant projects. The Montessori Elementary Curriculum includes five “Great Stories” which serve as the gateway to all areas of study. These captivating narratives each serve a unique purpose, but all illuminate the interconnectedness of knowledge and introduce students to the wonders of the world, igniting their curiosity about the universe, life, and human history.
Complimentary childcare is available 4:30-6:00 p.m. for currently enrolled and pre-registered Elementary students via the RSVP form linked below. (All Day Elementary students do not need to be pre-registered.)
- Middle School students may be registered for our fee-based Extended Day program.
- Unfortunately, Toddlers, Primary students, and non-enrolled siblings cannot be accommodated in complimentary care. (All Day students may remain in class as usual.)
Due to limited on-campus parking, we ask that each family bring just one vehicle to campus.
Kindly click the link in the emailed invitation or Springmont Weekly News to RSVP and reserve Elementary childcare by 3 p.m. on Friday, August 29.
