Celebrating Sam Newman's 20+ Years of Service!

With a combination of happiness for him and sadness for us, I am writing to let our community know that Middle School Teacher Sam Newman will be retiring at the end of this school year. Sam has worked at Springmont for over 20 years and has worn many hats! Most recently and for many years, Sam has been our Middle School Humanities and Latin Teacher, but he has also been an Elementary Assistant, an Elementary Teacher, and a martial arts instructor at Springmont! We will miss his unwavering dedication to students and families, his depth of knowledge and passion for teaching, and his dry sense of humor! He plans to join his wife, who is already retired, at their home on Amelia Island in Florida.

With both Sam Newman and Livia Osorio retiring this year, we are planning an event to celebrate them! Current and former families are invited! Please join us on campus on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, 5:30-8:00 pm. More details will be shared as the date approaches!
