Art Appreciation Week!

We are excited about the Lower Elementary Fine Arts Showcases planned for this week, but we also want to highlight the amazing art recently created by Upper Elementary & Middle School students. As part of this year’s Global Arts Passport curriculum, Upper Elementary students participated in a Botswana Cheetah project and created Molas designs similar to those made in Panama and Colombia. These will be on display in the Main Building this week and next along with Mexican-inspired pottery, landscape paintings of the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, and intricate oxcart wheel designs fashioned after those done in Costa Rica, all created by Middle School students. Make sure to stop in to see our students’ creativity and gain a global perspective on art!
