Unwind with SPA! - April 17

After a long week of work and meetings, come unwind with us (the Springmont Parent Association) on April 17th from 5:30–9:00 PM! Join fellow Springmont community members at Hudson Grill for a relaxed evening to catch up, chat, and get to know one another—plus enjoy watching the game together. Meanwhile, the kids can have their own fun at a Parent Night Out event at Ready Set Play. Check out the flyer attached to Springmont Weekly News for more details—we hope to see you there!

In addition to robust, hands-on academics, Springmont students also benefit from learning “power skills.” Previously called “soft skills” and social-emotional learning (SEL), power skills include empathy, emotional intelligence (EQ), and interpersonal communication – all increasingly valuable in the age of AI. Even our youngest students learn to notice and respond to each other’s needs – whether that’s a runny nose, a tricky snap on an apron, or offering an opportunity to pet a campus chicken. And both parties benefit – helping someone always makes the helper feel good, too! #powerskills #EQ #SEL

Parent attendance at Destiny’s Class Gardening event today was impressive! We are so grateful to all the families who donated materials and spent time helping the children beautify their outdoor space!! In addition to supporting teachers and fostering a stronger class community, parent involvement at school signals to children that their education is important and valued.
