Our Book Fair is May 17-19 - Volunteers Needed!

Spearheaded by Media Center Specialist Leslie Wachter, Springmont looks forward to hosting an on-campus Book Fair Tuesday - Thursday, May 17 - 19! Leslie is looking for volunteers to help with set-up on Monday, May 16, as well as helpers during the school day Tuesday-Thursday; morning and afternoon shifts are available. She will also need help with packing up leftover items on Thursday afternoon. Click the link in Springmont Weekly News to review the available slots and sign up. Don’t miss this Friday’s Bake Sale, the final one hosted by Nathalie’s Class this school year! Students have been baking industriously and will offer Lemon Brownies, Zucchini Bread, Muffins, Monkey Bread, and Garlic Parmesan Herb Loaves in the Pavilion at 3:00 pm! CASH only, please! Proceeds will be donated to an organization chosen by the students. What could be better than supporting entrepreneurship and philanthropy while enjoying a baked treat?!?

One of Montessori’s most amazing and versatile math materials is the Stamp Game, which helps children develop a more abstract understanding of the decimal system by building on the foundation laid with the Golden Beads. Primary and Elementary students use the Stamp Game to practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, and even division with multi-digit numbers while also memorizing math facts. Extraordinary!
