Staying the Course - Health & Safety Reminders

Thanks to the diligence and cooperation of our families, students, faculty and staff, Springmont has been very successful in mitigating the spread of the virus in our school community! As we see local and national easing of restrictions and the approach of many much-anticipated ceremonial and social occasions (graduations, religious celebrations, weddings, reunions, class gatherings, Field Days, concerts, etc.), we wanted to remind everyone that the terms of our Community Agreement & COVID-19 Handbook still apply. Please help us stay the course by respecting and honoring the school's health and safety policies. We look forward to receiving updated guidance from the CDC and the Fulton County Board of Health and hopefully being able to relax our protocols in preparation for the 2021-22 school year. Remzije’s students were fascinated to watch Springmont’s friendly Facilities Manager making small repairs to their garden gate! Toddlers learn so much by observing the world and people around them, including patience, new vocabulary, and in this case, how tools work and how tasks are completed. Thank you, Mr. Juan!

Congrats to the Upper Elementary Recycling Club! Participating for the first time and up against schools with thousands of students, they took 7th place out of 24 schools in the Georgia Glass Recycling Contest! Students enjoyed the awards ceremony at Zoo Atlanta on Friday and look forward to brainstorming ways to use the $400 prize money on campus. A big thank you to Upper Elementary Assistant Tori FitzSimons for guiding this initiative!
